Cazat 60mg/ml Injection is used in the treatment of prostate cancer.

Nausea, Vomiting, Back pain, Weakness, Low blood platelets, Hair loss, Abdominal pain, Decreased white blood cell count, Loss of appetite, Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Diarrhoea, Stomatitis (Inflammation of the mouth), Blood in urine, Constipation, Cough, Altered taste, Breathing difficulty, Decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils).

How Cazat 60mg/ml Injection works
Cazat 60mg/ml Injection is an anti-cancer medication. It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA) of the cancer cells and stops their growth and multiplication.

Suggestion for Cazat 60mg/ml Injection
- Inform your doctor if you have epilepsy (fit), problems with your liver, kidney or if you have undergone radiation treatment or have a history of bleeding of the stomach or intestine or alcohol dependency.
- Always take cabazitaxel along with other steroid medications like prednisolone.
- Inform your doctor if you are taking anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin, ibuprofen or drugs that affect blood-clotting such as warfarin, coumarin or clopidogrel before taking cabazitaxel.
- Do not receive any vaccination while on cabazitaxel therapy.
- Do not drive or operate heavy machinery while taking this drug as it may make you feel dizzy or tired.
- Do not consume this drug if you are allergic to other taxanes, cabazitaxel or any of its ingredients.
- If you are a male patient, you should seek advice on sperm conservation prior to treatment with cabazitaxel as the drug may affect male fertility.

Pregnancy

Cazat 60mg/ml Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation

Cazat 60mg/ml Injection is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Cazat 60mg/ml Injection may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney

Cazat 60mg/ml Injection is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Cazat 60mg/ml Injection is recommended. Caution is advised in patients with severe kidney disease and end stage kidney disease as the information available is limited for use of this medicine in these patients.
Liver

Cazat 60mg/ml Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cazat 60mg/ml Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Cazat 60mg/ml Injection is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
