How to take Afinitor 5mg 30 TabletTake this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Afinitor 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Afinitor 5mg 30 Tablet worksAfinitor 5mg Tablet suppresses the activity of body’s immune system and prevents rejection of the transplanted organ.

Suggestion for Afinitor 5mg 30 Tablet
- Do not start everolimus and consult your doctor if you have liver problems, diabetes, high blood cholesterol, had a recent surgery or have unhealed wound after surgery, have infection, previously had hepatitis, are pregnant or breast-feeding or have intolerance to some sugars.
- Seek medical advice if you have increased thirst or increased frequency of urination, if you get any infection, suffer from shortness of breath, cough or fever, need to receive any vaccination after taking everolimus.
- Everolimus may affect male or female fertility; consult your doctor if you are planning to have a child.
- Do not drive or operate machinery while taking everolimus as it may cause fatigue.

Pregnancy

Afinitor 5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation

Afinitor 5mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well. As fatigue is a common side effect with Afinitor 5mg Tablet and this may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney

Afinitor 5mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Afinitor 5mg Tablet is recommended.
Liver
caution
Afinitor 5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Afinitor 5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Afinitor 5mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
