It works by lowering your immune system’s response to these conditions thereby reducing symptoms such as swelling, pain, itching and other allergic-type reactions.
This medicine is given orally (by mouth). You should always take it as it has been prescribed for you. Do not stop taking it without your doctor’s advice. This can cause unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Because this medicine weakens your immune system, you should avoid being near people who are ill or have infections.

It works by suppressing the immune system thereby reducing inflammation around the site of the cancer. It is used specifically to decrease swelling (edema), associated with tumors of the spine and brain. Moreover, it helps to treat or prevent allergic reactions in cancer patients. This medicine also treats nausea and vomiting associated with some chemotherapy medicines. Besides, it is also used to stimulate appetite in cancer patients with severe appetite problems, thus aiding in cancer treatment.
