How to take Durea 500mg 10 CapsuleTake this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Durea 500 mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Durea 500mg 10 Capsule worksIn cancer, Durea 500 mg Capsule works by blocking an enzyme (ribonucleotide reductase) which is required for synthesis of DNA. This prevents the cancer cells from growing and multiplying. In sickle cell disease, it works by increasing fetal haemoglobin (HbF) levels in red blood cells (RBCs). This helps the RBCs assume a normal shape, improves blood flow and protects against complications such as painful sickle cell episodes.

Driving
Durea 500 mg Capsule may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney

Durea 500 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Durea 500 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of kidney function test and some blood tests may be advised while you are taking this medicine.
