How Xtane 25mg 30 Tablet worksXtane 25mg Tablet is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This can lower or stop the growth of some breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.

Suggestion for Xtane 25mg 30 Tablet
- Exemestane should only be used in women who have reached menopause and cannot become pregnant. You should confirm your post-menopausal status through hormonal tests (LH, FSH and estradiol levels) before starting exemestane therapy.
- Exemestane should not be co-administered with estrogen-containing medications (such as hormone replacement therapy or birth control pills) as these can interfere with its action.
- Regular examinations to monitor reductions in bone mineral density and elevations in certain blood tests (AST, ALT, alkaline phosphatase and gamma glutamyl transferase, bilirubin, creatinine) are recommended in women receiving exemestane.
- Take precautions while driving or operating machinery as exemestane is known to cause drowsiness, sleepiness (somnolence), weakness (asthenia) and dizziness.

Driving
Xtane 25mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
Xtane 25mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Xtane 25mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
Xtane 25mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Xtane 25mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Xtane 25mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
